Berliner Announces First Purchase Orders Under The Green Energy Group
Berliner Communications, Inc. (BCI), an end-to-end provider of outsourced services for the wireless communications industry, announced that it has received its first purchase orders for its Green Energy Group, a division of the company geared towards providing a complete portfolio of traditional network power equipment integrated with "environmentally friendly" primary and backup power solutions.
The first purchase orders from this group, formed only a few months ago, are for solar and fuel cell applications in the wireless telecom sector. BCI expects to continue this momentum not only utilizing hydrogen fuel cells and solar power, but also micro turbines, wind power solutions and traditional power systems. The Group is also working on a fully self-sufficient cellular site, powered completely "off the grid" by green energy solutions. Not only will this be environmentally conscious, but it is necessary for remote locations, such as desert and mountain areas where traditional power solutions are not accessible.
Rich Berliner, CEO of BCI stated, "We are extremely excited to see great momentum geared towards green energy both in telecom, wireless and cable. Our customers are also excited about utilizing green energy technology and can see not only greater reliability in these products but also a return on investment for positive business results. Our Green Energy Group is on the leading edge of this technology, and is one of the only service providers for green energy in telecommunications today."
The company’s Green Energy Group is also a reseller of various green energy products. Most importantly, BCI’s Green Energy Group acts as the integrator for green energy power system products, which it believes is a competitive advantage over other resellers with no integration, installation or service experience.
According to the company, these new "Green" product and service offerings seamlessly integrate with the its existing network installation and technical services business.
