M Cubed Unveils New Metal Matrix Composite That Is Stiff As Steel, Light As Aluminum

M Cubed Technologies Inc. has introduced what it describes as an innovative new Metal Matrix Composite S55 that has the stiffness of steel, the light weight of aluminum and enhanced thermal properties.

These characteristics make the new composite suitable for the demanding requirements of integrated circuit and liquid crystal display manufacturing and equipment and optical applications in defense guidance systems and other uses where precision is critical. The new technology also enables the production of large and complex shapes.
