J.W. Miller Debuts PM0402 Series Chip Inductors

July 02, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

J.W. Miller (Gardena, CA) introduced the new PM0402 Series of multilayer, surface-mount, chip inductors, which are suitable for high-frequency designs. Applications include small cellular phones, PDAs, pagers, hand-held organizers, high-frequency wireless communication devices, notebook computers, printers, network cards, industrial electronics and electronic entertainment devices.

Performance characteristics include an inductance range of 1.0nH to 56nH, a dc current range of 150mA to 300mA, a high Q value and an operating temperature range of -25 to +105 degrees C. Micro-miniature in size, the PM0402 measures just 1mm x 0.5mm x 0.5mm.

The PM0402 Series is available in tape-and-reel packaging (10,000 per reel), and is priced from $0.10 to $0.12, depending on production order quantities.
