EPCOS Intros New HPI Series Power Inductors

EPCOS AG (Germany) introduced its new HPI Series of high-power inductors, which cover an inductance range from 0.5 µH to 3.92 µH, and can handle currents up to 30 A. Depending on inductance, the insertion height is 4.95 mm or 5.95 mm for a footprint of 11 mm x 13.1 mm. The resistance ranges from 1.1 mΩ to 6.0 mΩ. A compact size and a high current-carrying capacity make the HPI chokes suitable as output inductors for space-saving dc-dc converters, point-of-load converters, and voltage regulator modules. The new components are RoHS-compatible.
