Cooper Unveils New FP4 Family of Inductors

New Products Sep 20, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Cooper Electronic Technologies (Boynton Beach, FL) announced its new FP4 family of inductors, which feature a gapped ferrite core for optimum efficiency at very high switching frequencies. The new inductor series has been developed in cooperation with a multi-phase switching IC design center.

The FP4 family of products is designed for maximum efficiency in high-current voltage regulator models used to power microprocessors and servers, and high-frequency, high-current power supplies. The FP4 inductors have a low DCR of 6.5 milliohms maximum for low dc losses. They are available in inductance values of 100nH, 150nH and 200nH, with peak current ratings of up to 64A. Tape-and-reel packaging (900 per reel) is standard.
