ON Semiconductor LLC (Phoenix, AZ) announced that its board of directors has elected J. Daniel McCranie as Chairman. McCranie replaces Syrus Madavi, who resigned as chairman from the board in order to dedicate full-time attention to his recently announced position as president of JDS Uniphase Corp. McCranie currently is the chairman of the board of Xicor Inc. (Milpitas, CA) and is a director of California Micro Devices Corp. (Milpitas, CA).
