Ballard Power Systems Inc. (Toronto, Canada) reports that Matsushita Electric Works (Japan) has agreed to use its fuel cells for the field-testing of a 250W portable power generator.
Matsushita Electric Works, which has been evaluating Ballard's fuel cells since 1996, will advance that relationship into a supply agreement, the terms of which were not disclosed. Matsushita intends to use the fuel cells to demonstrate its compact generators in the Japanese market.
