Jadoo Founder Steps Aside as President, CEO

August 19, 2007 by Jeff Shepard

Jadoo Power Systems Inc. has promoted its Vice President of Business Development, Murali Arikara, to President and Chief Executive Officer. Arikara replaces Larry Bawden, who founded the company along with Arikara. Bawden will continue to serve as Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.

Jadoo makes hydrogen fuel cells that power electronic equipment typically powered by batteries or propane stored in canisters. According to published reports, Arikara states that Jadoo has two major technology-development goals: creating fuel cells that provide 10 times the power capacity of currently available batteries, and selling fuel cells for mobile power supplies at the same price as propane generators. Defense agencies have provided funds in order to develop and test some of Jadoo’s technology, including fuel cells that power unmanned air and ground vehicles.
