Würth Elektronik eiSos is unveiling an additional communication service for its customers: With #askLorandt, there's now a Technology Ambassador ready to help with the range of services offered by the supplier of electronic and electromechanical components. The person behind #askLorandt is none other than the development engineer Lorandt Fölkel, who has been a Business Development Manager at Würth Elektronik eiSos for 18 years now. Supported by an entire team of experts, he's there ready to field the questions of customers and other people interested in the products on a variety of platforms.

Customers can reach the Technology Ambassador Lorandt Fölkel via the social media and the website. These platforms are primarily designed to deal with practically oriented product and design issues. The site also offers a range of training videos, webinars, the dates of seminar events, and links to news in the technical field. The Technology Ambassador Lorandt Fölkel is present on these sites ready to answer any questions customers may have in the areas of electro-technology, PCB design, and the use of components directly and in person.

As an expert in the area of EMC and PCB design for industrial applications, since 2005 Lorandt Fölkel has held more than 500 seminars and training events for development engineers all over the world. The “development engineer out of passion” makes use of his considerable experience in the field in his tutorial videos on the basics of passive, electromechanical, opto-electrical, and active components and their respective areas of applications, while at the same time acting as the Technology Ambassador for the supplier’s support teams.

“For us, #askLorandt is a strategic extension of the range of services we have to offer. Now, we are also present in those media that our customers use in their everyday work. With #askLorandt we are in contact with electronics developers, students, and trainees in the electro-engineering field, but also with hobby electronics buffs and everyone else interested in this area. We help to educate people with regard to issues where there are still many gaps in their knowledge, even – as experience shows – among professionals, or where there is still relatively little practical relevance,“ says Lorandt Fölkel in explaining the innovative service.
