February 08, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

The California Fuel Cell Partnership recently announced the addition of new partners to its team. The partnership, which formally began in April 1999, includes auto manufacturers DaimlerChrysler, Ford, Honda and Volkswagen; energy partners ARCO, Shell and Texaco; fuel cell company Ballard Power Systems; and the State of California. Joining those partners is the US Department of Energy and new associate partners, Air Products and Chemicals Inc. (Allentown, PA), Linde AG (Germany) and Praxair (Danbury, CT).

According to the partnership, the new companies will assist the energy partners with hydrogen-fuel infrastructure needs, particularly at the partnership's Sacramento-area facility.
