Vitec Electronics Intros 59P9001/2/3/22 Inductors

Vitec Electronics Corp. (Carlsbad, CA), a designer and manufacturer of magnetic-based products, announced its new 59P9001, 59P9002, 59P9003 and 59P9022 Series of surface-mountable inductors, designed for the wide operating frequency of 250KHz to 2MHz, which are suitable for a variety of voltage regulator module applications.

The new series of inductors require less than 57mm² in real estate, reducing board space requirements, and provide for the lowest profile per performance ratio. With a maximum height of less than 5mm, they pack inductance values as high as 100nH and dc current rating as high as 90A, making them a suitable solution for all voltage regulator applications. The unique ferrite core material and geometry, combined with a preformed staple winding, provide for a low dc resistance, high dc current rating and operating frequency, without the thermal aging concerns associated with the competing powder iron-based inductors.

The inductors are available in 1,000 pieces per 13in reel and are priced at $0.29 each in 100,000-piece quantities. Samples and small pre-production quantities are available from stock with a production lead-time of four to six weeks.
