Uninterruptible Power Managers Expanded with Grounding Technology Solutions Series

Powervar, Inc. has expanded its family of uninterruptible power manager (UPM) products with the addition of the Grounding Technology Solutions (GTS) series rated from 250VA to 600VA. The Powervar GTS series UPM is designed to provide complete power protection against power outages, surges, noise associated with dirty power, and ground loops.

Like other models in the UPM family the new GTS series features a surge diverter, noise filter and low-impedance isolation transformer to guarantee fully–conditioned power whether operating on the utility power or on battery. When on battery, the GTS units provide a low-distortion sine wave for 8-10 minutes, depending on the load. Other features include user hot-swappable batteries, full front panel controls and indicators, and both RJ11 and USB communications interfaces for use with Powervar’s MopUPS Express software.

The new GTS series is designed for use in retail environments to protect POS systems. In voluntary cooperation with NEMA, DOT and FAA guidelines, Powervar manufacturers its UPM products with battery disconnect plugs to eliminate the possibility of short circuit and fire during transport. All models are also in full compliance with WEEE and RoHS directives. The GTS series carries a five-year warranty. The batteries are warranted for two years.
