Sola/Hevi-Duty Unveils SDP2-12-100 DIN Mount Switcher

Sola/Hevi Duty (Skokie, IL) introduced the SDP2-12-100 DIN Mount Switcher, which is claimed to be a great advancement in power for analog I/O and control. Factory set at 12Vdc, the SDP2-12-100 easily converts to a fully adjustable supply (factory set at 10V) by removing a jumper.

Range on the adjustment is from 9.8Vdc to 12.2Vdc, with 30W of available power (2.5A at 12Vdc, 3A at 10Vdc). This offers significantly more power in a smaller, lighter package than linear power supplies typically used for these applications.

With low ripple and voltage regulation, the SDP2-12-100 is a good choice for control designs that include analog I/O devices such as thermocouples, linear positioning devices and 4mA to 20mA loops.
