Powerex Releases New 3300V Dual Fast Recovery Diodes With 6000V Isolated Mounting

Powerex announced the addition of four new products (QRD3310001, QRC3310001, QRD3310002 and QRC3310002) to its line of fast diode modules. The modules feature a blocking voltage of 3300V, a fast recovery time of 1.2µs max and an isolation voltage of 6000V.

Options include a choice of the standard dual or common cathode configuration and a choice between Aluminum Nitride or Alumina isolation materials, offering low thermal impedance.

The QRD3310001 and QRC3310001 have a dual diode, standard configuration, with a 3300V, 86A at 80°C, Aluminum Nitride Isolation. The QRD3310002 has a dual diode, standard configuration, with a 3300V, 60A at 80°C, Alumina Isolation. The QRC3310002 has a dual diode, common cathode configuration, with a 3300V, 60A at 80°C, Alumina Isolation.

Applications for these fast recovery diodes include switching power supplies, inverters, choppers, welding power supplies, free wheeling diodes and high frequency rectifiers.
