Microsemi Intros LX304x/LX305x Photodiode Families
Microsemi Corp. (Irvine, CA) announced two new coplanar, waveguide, photodiode families targeting applications in 1/10 gigabit Ethernet, fibre channel, infiniband, VCSEL and SONET/SDH OC48 and OC192 systems, the LX304x and LX305x.
The photodiode families are designed using advanced gallium arsenide (GaAs) and indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) fabrication technology, providing a choice of single-die or photodiode arrays for datacom and telecom applications. The photodiodes feature 75-nanometer-square anode and cathode pads that facilitate fast and reliable self-alignment for either wirebond or flip-chip assembly.
Pricing for the bare-die LX304x Series photodiodes start at $15 in 1,000-unit quantities and 1x4 arrays starts at $50 in like quantities. Pricing for the LX305x bare-die photodiodes starts at $35 and 1x4 arrays start at $250, also in 1,000-unit quantities.
