MCG Surge Protection Introduces Port Rack Mount Protected Patch Panel

MCG Surge Protection has reintroduced its data line protection series for rack mount applications. Designed to be used in place of standard, unprotected patch panels, MCG’s surge protected patch panels keep equipment safe from surges (i.e. nearby lightning).

These multi-port protectors are 19"rack mountable and are available in 12, 24, and 48 port versions. Each protected port contains an IDC-110 punch down block in the back and an RJ45 connector in the front. The panels protect all pins or Ctr. + 4, have voltages ranging from 7.5 – 240V, and a current from 50 – 100A.

Covering CAT 6 applications as well as Telco and ISDN, the company says the units install easily and provide years of reliable protection. Prices start at $472 and delivery is from stock.
