Kestar Electronic Offers MYL Series Varistors

Guangdong Foshan Kestar Electronic Co. Ltd. (China) announced the MYL Series of lightning-proof varistors, which are coated with fireproof epoxy, making them suitable for use in lightning-protection applications in communication power supply entrance facilities; industrial switch cabinets; and road, railway and aviation signal systems.

The devices have a peak current of 40kA and a maximum allowable voltage range of 130Vac to 680Vac or 170Vdc to 895Vdc. The varistors are available in type A (round body, round wire lead), type B (round body, flat compressed lead) and type C (square shape body, flat compressed lead) packaging. Varistor voltage ranges from 200V to 1.1kV.
