Higher Way Electronic Releases New GaAs Solar Cells

Higher Way Electronic Co. Ltd. (Taiwan) released new GaAs solar cells that have a power rating of 6.7 mW at 27.5 percent efficiency, and measure 5 mm x 5 mm. Under an illumination of 1 kW/m², the devices have a power voltage of 0.78 V (maximum), a power current of 8.8 mA (maximum), an open circuit voltage of 0.95 V, and a short-circuit current of 9.7 mA.
