Gowanda Presents SMT4015/SMT1803 Inductors

August 14, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Gowanda Electronics (Gowanda, NY) announced two new series of surface-mount, toroid inductors, the SMT4015 and SMT1803, which are suitable for microprocessor and distributed power applications, including power supplies, power regulators and dc/dc converters in test and measurement equipment, medical diagnostic equipment and industrial process-control equipment. Applications also include hand-held devices, including cell phones, small drives and PC cards.

The SMT4015 is a shielded toroidal choke designed for higher current-handling capability in conjunction with improved electromagnetic interference performance. The SMT1803 is a high-efficiency, low-profile, surface-mount toroid, which offers a very high current-to-power-size ratio. The SMT4015 Series features an inductance from 1.0µH to 250µH at 1kHz, current ratings from 11.6A to 1.05A and saturation currents from 17.4A to 0.70A. The SMT1803 Series fetaures an inductance from 0.47µH to 100µH at 1kHz, current ratings from 2.16A to 0.28A and saturation currents from 5.80A to 0.45A.

Pricing is $0.88 for the SMT1803 Series and less than $4 for the SMT4015 Series.
