Cyberex Intros Next-Generation Rack-Mount DSTS

Cyberex LLC (Mentor, OH) introduced its next-generation family of Rack-Mount Digital Static Transfer Switches. The new Rack-Mount DSTS is available in three models between 20A and 100A, single-phase, and is designed to protect mission-critical loads at the point-of-use.The devices offer Modbus Communications as a standard feature, which allows users to remotely monitor system setpoints and alarms through an RS-232 port. The DSTS also offers a comprehensive set of alarms and indicators for exchange system monitoring capabilities.Designed to provide instantaneous, seamless power transfers between two ac sources through the use of rugged, highly reliable Silicon Controlled Rectifiers (SCRs), the RMDSTS incorporates a solid state design for longevity and reliability, with no moving parts or mechanical contactors in the transfer mechanism.Additional features include redundant fans; redundant logic power supplies; redundant gate drive power supplies; surge suppression network; internal fiber optics; CMOS logic and DSP implementation for high-speed sensing and transfers; and patented Cyberex SuperSwitch design.
