November 21, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

American Power Conversion Corp. (APC, West Kingston, RI) announced its new InfraStruXure™ 150 kVA power distribution unit (PDU), a higher-capacity, single rack-based solution that helps data center managers address changing power needs. The new InfraStruXure PDU solution improves speed of deployment and adaptability, and lowers total cost of ownership for IT networks in small-to-large data centers. The new PDU is part of APC's InfraStruXure system, an on-demand architecture that integrates power, cooling, management and services in a rack-optimized design.

The InfraStruXure PDU improves IT network speed of deployment and system adaptability through its simple, customized design offering pre-configured power whips designed via APC's web-based configuration tool. APC's configuration tool provides a configured-to-order unit that ships already equipped with the customized power whips necessary to feed power to a customer's IT racks. InfraStruXure PDU offers expanded and more flexible power distribution with two panel boards as well as optional subfeed breakers.

The new InfraStruXure™ 150 kVA power distribution unit is currently available in North America.
