3W to 6W DC-DCs with Integrated EMC Filter

RECOM's new dc-dc converters REC3A, REC5A and REC6A have a built-in EMC filter to meet EN55022, class A. Class B can be achieved easily with a small capacitor. The compact DIP24 modules (31.8 x 20.3 x 10.2 mm) with 2:1 input (4.5- to 9-Vdc or 18- to 36-Vdc) provide a regulated 5Vdc output and can be operated 0% minimum load.

They are short-circuit and overload protected and are available with an optional integrated under voltage lockout. The converters can be operated in a wide temperature range and deliver full power from -40 to +85 degrees C for the 3W REC3A series, from -40 to +68 degrees C for the 5W REC5A series and from -40 to +65 degrees C for the 6W REC6A series; all three series have linear derating to zero power at 100 degrees C.

These modules have a switching frequency of 120kHz and are designed for industrial applications and can drive high capacitive loads. The series are IEC/EN/UL60950-1 and IEC/UL/EN62368-1 certified and provide 2kV of isolation. They come with RECOM’s standard 3-year warranty.
