STMicroelectronics Inc. (ST, Geneva, Switzerland) announced the appointment of Johan Danneels to the position of General Manager of ST's Telecom Group, and as Vice President and Deputy General Manager of its Telecom, Peripheral and Automotive groups. Danneels, who is the former CEO of Alcatel Microelectronics, brings more than 25 years of telecom experience and will have overall responsibility for ST's differentiated products for telecommunications markets, including those for access, network, cellular terminal and cellular infrastructure applications.
