Sharp Electronics Names Michael Troetti President of SEMCA

Sharp Electronics Corp. (Mahwah, NJ), a marketing subsidiary of Sharp Corp. (Japan), announced that Michael Troetti has been named president of Sharp Electronics Marketing Co. of America (SEMCA), effective September 21, 2005. He will replace Noboru Fujimoto who will assume the responsibility of Group Deputy General Manager of the Solar Systems Group, where he will be in charge of domestic and international sales in Japan.

Troetti will oversee the sales and marketing efforts for Sharp's consumer electronics and business products and will report to Sharp Electronics Chairman and CEO Toshihiko Fujimoto. Previously, Troetti served as Executive Vice President of the company's Consumer Electronics Group. As president, Troetti will oversee the two groups that fall under SEMCA, including the Consumer Electronics Group and Information Systems Group.
