ReliOn Completes NEBS Level 3 Compliance Testing

May 20, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

ReliOn Inc. (Spokane, WA), a provider of high-reliability fuel cell solutions for backup power applications, announced that its Independence 1000™ and outdoor enclosure have successfully completed Network Equipment Building Systems (NEBS) Level 3 compliance testing. The testing was developed by the telecommunications industry to qualify equipment under extreme environmental conditions and is often required prior to installation of equipment at telecommunications sites.

Gary Flood, vice president of marketing and business development, commented, "Our successful completion of NEBS testing positions us well for rollout of our fuel cell products into the wireline telecommunications industry. Our solution is capable of providing cost-effective backup for many sites needing power between 500 W and 5 kW. NEBS Level 3 compliance testing provides additional assurance that our products perform as designed, even in extreme conditions."
