Qspeed Semiconductor Appoints Heitzman CEO

Qspeed Semiconductor has appointed Mike Heitzman President and Chief Executive Officer. He was formerly Vice President of Marketing for the company and is replacing Syrus Ziai.

Heitzman has more than 25 years in the semiconductor business, including as Vice President and General Manager for ON Semiconductor’s Analog and Power Management Products Division. His background also includes18 years with Motorola’s Semiconductor Products Sector in a variety of management positions.

"Mike’s background in semiconductor operations, manufacturing and marketing make him ideally suited to lead Qspeed to the next stage," said Daniel Artusi, Qspeed chairman of the board, in a statement. "His experience in global business management will put Qspeed in the limelight as a leader in high performance semiconductors for power conversion."

Privately owned Qspeed Semiconductor was started in 1999 and provides silicon power devices based on proprietary technologies. The company’s portfolio includes 300 and 600V power diodes for ac-to-dc power supplies, inverters, motor controls and other power applications greater than 150W.
