It will cover specific reasons and benefits for how dc microgrid technology impacts sustainable design objectives especially with regard to lighting. The presenters will provide specific descriptions of the design process and resources available to support design, specification and construction of sustainable dc microgrid systems. Finally, the course will cover specific case studies of existing installations and operating dc microgrids in various commercial buildings. Q&A will follow.

This 60 minute course/seminar will begin with an overview of sustainable dc power for buildings. It will include design considerations and examples and will close with an interactive question-and-answer period. The formal title of the course is, DCMicro101.
