CSA and FCE Report Fuel Cell Plant Certification

CSA International (Cleveland, OH), a certification and testing organization, in cooperation with FuelCell Energy Inc. (FCE, Danbury, CT), a manufacturer of stationary fuel cell power plants for distributed generation, officially announced certification of the first-ever, fuel cell power systems to the new ANSI/CSA America FC 1-2004, Stationary Fuel Cell Power Systems standard. The new standard covers the operation, construction and performance of packaged, stationary fuel cell power systems.

FuelCell Energy develops Direct FuelCell® (DFC®) products for use in stationary applications. The products certified by CSA International include the DFC300 self-contained, commercial-grade, power plant, providing high-quality, baseload electric power using natural gas. Also certified are the DFC 1500 power plants, consisting of power generation and plant skids capable of providing high-quality, baseload electric power using natural gas.
