CHiL Semi Receives ISO 9001: 2000 Certification

August 14, 2008 by Jeff Shepard

CHiL Semiconductor, a developer of mixed-signal power management ICs for use in a wide variety of computing devices, announced that it has obtained ISO 9001: 2000 certification from TUV SUD America Inc., Management Service Division. CHiL claims that the certification demonstrates its commitment to the effective management of internal processes to meet international quality requirements and better serve customer requirements.

"ISO certification is a symbol to our customers and prospects that they can depend on us for consistently high-quality power management products today and in the future," said Ram Sudireddy, Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of CHiL Semiconductor. "Our devices are central to end-user products in the server, desktop and other high-volume computing market segments where rigid demands are placed on power management ICs. Our customers represent many well-known, consumer brand-names where the ISO level of quality and reliability is required."

CHiL Semiconductor implemented a business quality management system upon its founding two years ago. As part of the year-long ISO process, TUV SUD America, an independent third-party auditing firm, performed on-site assessments, examined documented procedures, and audited overall operations. This process culminated in ISO certification in May of 2008.

"While we are a new company, a fully compliant ISO business system is part of our genetic foundation and demonstrates the core principles that make us a strong business team," continued Sudireddy, "ISO certification verifies that quality is built into every aspect of our business from sales, product design, development and delivery."
