Changsha Liyuan New Material Expands and Upgrades Production Line

Changsha Liyuan New Material Co. Ltd. (China) announced completion of the expansion and upgrade of its continuum-strip nickel-foam production line in the Hunan province. The strip, which produces the key raw material of nickel-cadmium, nickel-hydrogen and nickel-zinc batteries, has now reached an annual output of 3.2 million square meters.

The company plans to further improve its product quality and production capacity in the next five years by building the largest continuum-strip nickel-foam production base, with a planned annual output of four-million square miles. In addition, the company aims to build a research and development center.
