C&D Technologies Announces Introduction of CEM Services

C&D Technologies Inc. is now offering professional turn-key Contract Electronic Manufacturing (CEM) services through its Power Electronics Division. The CEM Business Unit includes manufacturing facilities, supply chain management, in-house design, production and test engineering expertise to provide timely and reliable manufacture of build-to-print products.

With several fully-automated, ISO 9001:2000 and ISO14001:2004 certified manufacturing facilities in the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico and China, C&D Technologies is able to manage CEM programs on a global basis. Outsourcing manufacturing and related activities to C&D allows customers to focus on their core competencies and helps them reduce or avoid capital expenditure. Additional benefits include a faster time-to-market, improved quality and better customer service.

C&D's manufacturing facilities are equipped with equipment for surface mount, paste-in-hole, through hole and mixed assembly. Other capabilities include encapsulation, injection molding, final assembly, cable and harness manufacturing and rack assembly. Experienced staff supports the manufacturing operation by providing a host of services including: design, test and application engineering, procurement and component sourcing, documentation and field support.
