Capstone Resumes Production of C60 Models

September 23, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Capstone Turbine Corp. (Chatsworth, CA), a leading microturbine power systems manufacturer, reported that it has resumed production of its model C60 microturbines. Production of the C30 model for low-pressure natural gas is expected to resume in two to three weeks. All of the companies other C30 models, including high-pressure gas, bio-gas, liquid fuel and sour gas models, were unaffected.

"We are pleased to announce that we are again shipping C60 systems to our customers," said John Tucker, chief executive officer of Capstone. "We appreciate the support we received from our customers and distributors as we took the necessary actions to ensure Capstone ships the highest quality products possible. We are continuing to address a component issue associated with the low-pressure, natural gas model C30 products, and still anticipate resuming production of that model in the next two to three weeks."
