Baldor Announces New Electric Motor Guide

Baldor Electric Co. (Fort Smith, AR) announced a new 32-page guide providing information on the differences between the protection measures available for various electric motors operating in harsh environments.

Starting with a table detailing the mechanical and electrical protection applied to various severe-duty motor categories - from shaft seals to overload margins -

the guide details the electrical and mechanical characteristics of various individual categories.

The guide covers dirty-duty, quarry-duty, crusher-duty, explosion-proof, vertical-mounted pumping and chemical-processing types. More than 400 motor products spanning a power range from 0.37kW to 373kW (0.5HP to 500HP) are detailed.
