Azure Dynamics Corp. (Vancouver, BC), a leading developer of hybrid-electric power trains for commercial vehicles, announced that it has won a contract from AM General LLC (South Bend, IN). The contract is to develop a parallel hybrid, high-mobility, multi-purpose, wheeled vehicle (HMMWV), which will be integrated with a third-generation auxiliary power distribution system (APDS).
Azure Sales and Marketing Vice President Mark Federle said, "Azure Dynamics US has been working with AM General for three years on the development of hybrid vehicle and APDS technology, and we are pleased to be continuing this collaboration with the parallel hybrid HMMWV program."
