Arrow Electronics Extends to EMEA its Distribution Agreement with Schurter

August 12, 2012 by Jeff Shepard

Arrow Electronics, Inc. and the SCHURTER Group announced the expansion of their existing distribution agreement to the entire Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA). Both companies have worked together in Central Europe since 2005. SCHURTER is a manufacturer and distributor of fuses, connectors, circuit breakers, input systems and EMC products. Founded in 1933, the company is described as an important service provider for the PCB assembly and electronics industries. Arrow is an important global distributor within SCHURTER’s sales network.

"We are pleased to extend our collaboration", said Matthias Jeck, senior group manager of passive product management for Arrow in EMEA. "SCHURTER offers comprehensive solution packages – from the initial concept to the actual delivery of systems ready for mounting. It was a natural step to extend the breadth of our agreement, and our partner’s know-how will benefit our entire customer base across the EMEA region."

"This new agreement is an important commitment to our successful cooperation with Arrow", said Hans-Rudolf Schurter, chairman and CEO of the SCHURTER Group. "Arrow’s customers benefit from better access to our innovative products and expertise thanks to this geographical expansion."
