Alliant Energy Corp. (Madison, WI) announced that its board of directors has elected William Harvey to serve as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective January 2004. Erroll Davis, Jr., Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliant Energy, will continue to serve as Chairman and CEO of the company.
"As I approach my 60th birthday, clearly it is time to begin an orderly succession process," said Davis. "Bill has provided excellent leadership in his many roles within the organization since 1986. The Board and I are confident that he is the right person to lead the team in the future."
