Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. announced the expansion of its commercial site monitoring solution that offers Advanced Energy (AE) integrated hardware with a choice of industry-leading monitoring software providers. The expanded program now includes AlsoEnergy and meteocontrol. With extensive experience in the European market, meteocontrol’s selection for the program marks the first global monitoring partnership for AE Solar Energy.

AE Solar Energy customers can now use AlsoEnergy and meteocontrol with AE’s factory-integrated performance monitoring for their commercial PV applications. AlsoEnergy and meteocontrol join ArgusON, DECK Monitoring, Draker, ESA Renewables, Locus Energy and Noveda Technologies in AE Solar Energy’s commercial site monitoring solution partner program.

AlsoEnergy, an industry leading provider of energy monitoring systems serving 14 countries around the world, was added to the program due to overwhelming customer demand for advanced monitoring capabilities of commercial installations. With AlsoEnergy’s comprehensive portfolio management and monitoring tools, customers will have quick access to real-time data that provide accurate warnings and alerts, resulting in better overall system efficiency.

"AlsoEnergy strives to provide its customers best-of-breed solutions that meet their unique needs," said Robert Schaefer, CEO of AlsoEnergy. "As one of the newest partners to join AE’s program, we are looking forward to strengthening our commitment to our customers by providing a solution that is not only easy to implement but provides the real-time data necessary to increase the overall performance of their portfolio."

As a top monitoring provider in Europe, meteocontrol brings vast European market experience to the North American marketplace allowing AE Solar Energy to offer developers who already use meteocontrol internationally, to continue using the same solution in North America. By partnering with AE Solar Energy the company now offers existing customers hardware and software flexibility without the project delays and installation and commissioning costs associated with traditional in-field monitoring installations.

"Through our partnership with AE Solar Energy we provide a North American based solution that allows us to expand our offerings for project developers we have worked with in the past," said Ben Compton, chief operating officer and VP of commercial operations, meteocontrol. "We look forward to helping our customers streamline their monitoring process and minimize system costs."

AE Solar Energy’s commercial site monitoring partnership provides customers with real-time data monitoring allowing them to reduce system downtime, increase performance and intelligently schedule operations and maintenance (O&M) services. The solution has also been factory tested to ensure turn-key operation at installation and seamless ongoing system management with monitoring software providers. Combined with the company’s SiteGuard field services, commercial PV customers receive a complete solar-plant management solution that is backed by AE’s strong balance sheet and global scale.

"We are excited to expand and round out our monitoring solution program with the addition of leaders in both the North American and European markets," said Gordon Tredger, President, AE Solar Energy. "These partnerships serve as examples of AE’s commitment to meeting its customers’ needs and its continual effort to provide developers with choice."
