January 14, 2019 by Scott McMahan

Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc., reported that it has completed the acquisition of Parker Hannifin's Precision Cooling Business ("PCB"), a supplier of Pumped Two-Phase Cooling products for power electronics applications.

According to Advanced Cooling Technologies, a pumped two-phased cooling system (also know as pumped-evaporative cooling) like the Parker Hannifin device shown above, can benefit a broad range of industries such as industrial power electronics, hybrid and industrial vehicles, power transmission, and distribution, alternative power generation, medical equipment, telecommunications, marine and rail propulsion, as well as military applications.

"Pumped Two-Phase Cooling is a growing technology area for ACT," said Dr. Jon Zuo, President and Chief Technical Officer of ACT. "Combining PCB's position in the power electronics industry and ACT's strength in the defense and aerospace markets will offer our customers more design options and enhanced product reliability."

After the completion of the acquisition, all the PCB assets were transferred to ACT's Lancaster, Pennsylvania facility and integrated into its Industrial Products Group.

"ACT and Parker are working closely to ensure a smooth transition for our customers and suppliers," said John Hartenstine, Vice President of Operations and Quality Assurance at ACT. "We are excited to start shipping products in the coming weeks."
