XPiQ Announces New Modules for Synergy Modular Line

August 26, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

XPiQ Inc. (Holliston, MA) announced the introduction of 25 single-slot output modules for use in the Synergy MP modular power supply range. The new line of output modules provide up to 200W of power in 25 different voltages from 2V to 60V, covering all the common voltages typically required by the EOEM industry. Other voltages are also available on request.

The single PCB design uses a proprietary approach to thermal management, which enables the new output modules to provide 35 percent more current, in a single-slot module that is the same size as the existing A modules. Up to six of these modules can be used in a single power platform, providing a wider range of voltages with higher current outputs than previously available. The new 200W J module provides fully isolated outputs, single-wire current share, remote inhibit, remote sense, power valid, current limit, over-voltage and over-current protection.

Prototype quantities are available now and production quantities will be available in the fourth quarter.
