VPT Offers Low-Voltage DVWR DC-DC Converter

New Products Nov 10, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

VPT Inc. (Blacksburg, VA) introduced its low-voltage DVWR dc-dc converter, which packs 25 W in a small, lightweight package with three outputs, including a main output of 3.3 Vdc, for use in newer aircraft, weapons,

satellites and other mission-critical systems.

The DVWR Series delivers 25 W of dc output power through three outputs. Specific features

of the new converter include up to 25 W of output power; triple outputs of 3.3 V/12 V or 3.3 V/15 V; low output noise; 15 V to 50 V input voltage with a nominal of 28 V, per

MIL-STD-704; a temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C, without de-rating input voltage or output power; low regulation based on dual PWM topology; a low profile of 0.455 in; a light weight of 50 grams; and a high input transient voltage tolerance of 80 V for 1 sec, exceeding MIL-STD-704A.

The DVWR Series is available now at $451.17 per unit in OEM quantities.
