Vishay Presents ILC-0402 Series Inductors

January 07, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (Santa Clara, CA) introduced the new Vishay Dale ILC-0402 Series of multi-layer ceramic inductors, which are targeted at signal shaping and RF filtering applications in a range of electronic systems. Target end-products include cell phones, pagers, keyless entry systems, wireless networks, remote-control units, high-end video-processing equipment, STBs and cable modems.

The inductors offer inductance values ranging from 1nH to 47nH, with tolerances of ±0.3nH (1nH to 5.6nH) and ±5 percent or ±10 percent (6.8nH to 47nH). Maximum dc resistance ranges from 0.12 ohm to 1.3 ohms. The inductors have a high Q rating, with typical values from 10 to 39 at specified frequencies from 100MHz to 1.8GHz. The minimum self-resonant frequency is from 1GHz to 10GHz.

Designed for reliable operation in HF applications, the devices are rated for currents from 150mA to 300mA. The 0402-case-size devices are both wave and reflow solderable. They are specified for a wide operating temperature range of -55 to +125 degrees C.
