Vishay Debuts 592D Sprague Tantalum Capacitors
Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (Malvern, PA) announced its 592D Sprague tantalum capacitors, offered in X and Y case sizes that are 2mm and 2.5mm high (respectively), which are designed for noise suppression and capacitive decoupling applications, making the capacitors suitable for use in slim-line products such as wireless PCMCIA cards and cellular phones.
The 592D Series features capacitance values from 1mF to 2.2mF with ±10 percent and ±20 percent tolerance. The capacitors also offer maximum ESR values ranging from 35 milliohms to 40 milliohms at 25 degrees C and 100kHz. The capacitors measure 14.5mm x 7.37mm, operate at a voltage range of 4Vdc to 6.3Vdc and operate at a temperature range of -55 to +85 degrees C. The maximum current leakage ranges from 60µA to 95µA. Both devices are conformal-coated and feature two standard 100-percent-tin terminations.
