Vicor Corp. announced the introduction of the 28Vdc MIL-COTS VIPAC family of power systems – a new class of user-defined, modular power solutions for military COTS applications such as radar, military ground vehicle, communications equipment, and aerospace.

The 28Vdc MIL-COTS VIPAC family incorporates Vicor's M-FIAM5B, which provides MIL-STD-461E EMI filtering and MIL-STD-704E/F transient protection, Vicor's Maxi, Mini and Micro dc-dc H or M grade converters, and a choice of output connections and mechanical platforms. The Military COTS VIPAC can be specified with 1, 2, or 3 outputs with voltages as low as 3.3Vdc to as high as 48Vdc and power levels from 50 to 400W per output. The Military COTS VIPAC is available with a 28Vdc input in a variety of packages with profiles as low as 0.75in. (19,1 mm).

"The 28 V VIPAC gives our MIL-COTS customers the design flexibility to create a power supply online using Vicor's VCAD design tool that meets their specific needs including stringent EMI and transient protection specifications," said Kai Johnstad, Product Marketing Manager, Defense Products.

The new 28Vdc MIL-COTS VIPAC power systems can be available as soon as three weeks for prototype quantities and pricing is as low as $392 USD in 100-piece quantities. Pricing for a 28Vdc MIL-COTS VIPAC tailored to your specific needs can be obtained by using Vicor's online VCAD design tool.
