V-Infinity Intros VHB50W Series Half-Brick Converters

V-Infinity LLC (Beaverton, OR) introduced its new line of industry-standard, half-brick dc-dc converters that feature a four-to-one input voltage range. The 50 W VHB50W Series is housed in a five-sided aluminum case, making it suitable for a number of telecom and industrial product applications. The units are available with 9 Vdc to 36 Vdc or 18 Vdc to 72 Vdc inputs, and offer efficiencies up to 84 percent. The VHB50W measures 2.28 in x 2.40 in x 0.50 in with an industry-standard half-brick pin out.

The VHB50W Series delivers output voltages ranging from 3.3 V to 24 V among 10 separate models. The units offer 1,500 Vdc isolation voltage, line and load regulation of 0.20 percent, and an operating case temperature of -40 °C to +100 °C. Features include positive or negative logic remote on/off, remote sense, continuous short-circuit protection, over-current protection, and over-temperature protection.

The VHB50W Series of half-brick dc-dc converters are priced starting at $45 per unit for OEM quantities. Availability is in five to seven weeks of production.
