Tyco Electronics Intros ATL Series POL Converters
Tyco Electronics Power Systems Inc. (Dallas, TX) introduced its new ATL Series of point-of-load (POL) dc-dc converters, which are designed to support battery-power-sourced applications. In addition to a wide-range input to support battery-powered sources, the ATL Series supports EZ-SEQUENCE, which is a standard offering in the Austin Lynx II Series. Standard Austin Lynx features includes remote sense, on-off control, pre-bias immunity, monotonic startup, and over-current and over-temperature protection.
The ATL010A0X43-SRZ supports an input-voltage range of 9 Vdc to 18 Vdc, with a programmable output range of 0.75 Vdc to 5 Vdc using an external resistor. This non-isolated module can deliver up to 10 A of output current with full-load efficiency of 93 percent at 3.3 V output. The EU RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC compliant ATL010A0X43-SRZ converter is offered in SMT packaging and measures 1.30 in x 0.53 in x 0.326 in (33.0 mm x 13.5 mm x 8.28 mm). Its open-frame construction is able to withstand industry-standard handling, cleaning, and soldering processes. The converter can be operated under temperatures ranging from -40 °F to +185 °F (-40 °C to +85 °C).
The price of the ATL010A0X43-SRZ converter starts at $13.50 each for 1,000-unit volumes. Samples now are available.
