Tyco Electronics Expands NP Series with NP1300

New Products Mar 15, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Tyco Electronics Power Systems Inc. (Dallas, TX) expanded its NP Series - a family of 48 V power systems - with the launch of the 24 V NP1300™ rectifier. It has been specifically designed for 24 V applications and is used as a part of the Infinity Platform for global wireless solutions. The NP1300 rectifier's full complement of alarm and shutdown features protect the system in the event of a fault condition.

With 12 W/in³, the NP1300 rectifier - measuring 5.8 in x 10.8 in x 5.1 in (147.32 mm x 274.32 mm x 129.54 mm) - provides a 3,900 W system in only 3U of rack space. The patented "zero-height" NP shelf will hold any NP rectifier and measures 19 in x 12 in x 3.5 in (482.6 mm x 304.8 mm x 88.9 mm). Customers can parallel up to four shelves.

The NP rectifiers, rated at 800 W, 1,200 W, 1,300 W, 1,500 W and 2,500 W, accept worldwide ac input voltages and boast global safety agency approvals. Multiple ac cords are available to support region-specific cordset needs. The NP rectifiers are NEBS certified (GR-63-CORE) and are rated for CISPR Class B EMI.
