Tech9 Compact 1A/24VA DC-DC Board-Mounted Converter Accepts Input from 6 to 70V, Output Remains Constant

Tech9 Corp. introduced a new TO-220-compatible footprint, Tech9’s new 1A/24VA buck-boost dc-dc power converter that can be mounted vertical (standing up) or horizontally (face down) on a circuit board. The units accept input ranging from 6 to 70V while output remains constant (extended input range down to 4V is available). Models can be ordered with 3, 5, 9, 12, 15, 24 or 48Vdc output. These power converters are designed for use in telephony, automotive, commercial, medical, military and process control applications.

Inherent high efficiency (cool running) eliminates the heat sink. The converters measure just 1" W x 1" H x 0.55" T and offer + 2% output voltage tolerance with excellent line and load rejection characteristics (60DB typical). The units are short circuit proof and can be operated in ambient temperatures as high as 85°C.

Tech9 Corporation offers a line of board-mounted and chassis-mounted power converters with similar specifications. Other voltage outputs down to 1.5Vdc and other amperage ratings, including 0.5A, 1.5A and special orders are also available.
