TDI Introduces New Single Unit LPE Inverter Mounting Adaptor

TDI Power introduced the LPES-SA, a single module mounting adaptor that allows any standard hot plug 1U LPE inverter to be used in a "stand alone" application. The LPE-SA further increases your system’s "up-time" by including a built-in transfer switch. It transfers your load to mains power, within approximately 10ms, should inverter power be lost due to loss of DC Input, over temperature, or inverter failure.

The LPE-SA is the answer to the increased demand for critical ancillary ac equipment running in dc powered cabinets or near other uninterruptible dc sources. In these applications it allows quick and easy access to uninterruptible ac power for maximum availability.

With simple fixings for panel or bulkhead mounting the adaptor provides terminal blocks for dc input and alarm status relay connections. There are two versions available – one with two 15A IEC female outlets and one with two 15A NEMA (120V) female outlets. Both versions have ac connection retaining clips and a 15A IEC male input connector that can be connected to an ac "utility" source if required. Internal fusing in the ac input lines provides fault current protection for gross overload conditions when transfer switch has selected the utility source.
