Stackpole Electronics Intros RC1 Series Carbon Resistors

Stackpole Electronics Inc. (Raleigh, NC) developed a 1 W carbon composition resistor to accompany its existing ¼ W and ½ W carbon composition resistor offering. Designated the RC1 Series, the carbon composition resistor technology has a rated power of 1 W at 70 °C, and a resistance range from 2.2 Ω to 1 MΩ in tolerances to ±10%. The RC1 demonstrates voltage handling of 500 V continuous and 1,000 V maximum while exhibiting low inductance.

The RC1 construction consists of a resistive element with carbon-based conductors and resin binders and a color-banded, molded jacket to combat the introduction of moisture and tolerate rough handling during installation. The RC1 meets the performance standards of EIA RS-173.

Pricing for the RC1 Series resistors is approximately $0.65 in quantities of 5,000 with delivery times of stock to six weeks. Samples are available immediately.
