SkinnyBytes Launches New High-Power 60W PoE Splitter and PoE Injector

October 18, 2011 by Jeff Shepard

SkinnyBytes has launched a new line of high-power PoE splitters and injectors. Both units are capable of delivering up to 60W over a standard Ethernet cable. These high-power PoE units are perfectly suited for powering PoE Computers, Thin Clients, PTZ cameras, multi-radio access points, or digital signage.

Able to operate even your most power-hungry devices, these units are capable of delivering up to 60W of power over a standard network cable. The PoE Splitter is available with standard output voltages of 12, 19, or 24Vdc, and can optionally be configured to any output voltage value between 11V to 30Vdc. The splitter can extract power from all 4 pairs (SPARE and DATA) of the Ethernet cable to safely deliver up to 60W of output power. It is also 802.3at compatible with most PoE Midspans and Injectors on the market today.

Rugged aluminum enclosure allows for excellent heat dissipation. Also equipped with a 100mm VESA mounting flange for securing to the back of a PoE Computer, Thin Client, or LCD Monitor.

SkinnyBytes specializes in Power-over-Ethernet computing systems, with the philosophy of providing computing solutions that require no ac power outlets. AC electrical is expensive to install, and far more dangerous than the low-voltage dc power provided by PoE. SkinnyBytes PoE computers are designed for extremely low power consumption, therefore are able to receive all of their power over a standard network cable via Power-over-Ethernet.
